I have done specialist training in Adoption Counselling, recognised by Barnardo's, meaning I am qualified to provide counselling around adoption related issues. It could be that you are a couple considering adoption, but you are unsure as to whether this is the right step to take, or you are an adult who was adopted as a child, and feel as though this is impacting your life.

Couples Counselling for Adoption Support

The Adoption process (as well as the process of coming towards this decision) can be a complex and difficult journey, and many couples find themselves going through an emotionally demanding time. I provide a safe and supportive space to explore the unique challenges and opportunities that come with making the decision to adopt, and I can help you navigate this process, which will help you in making the right decision for the both of you.

Counselling For Adoption Issues (Individuals)

While being adopted doesn't mean you can't have a happy life as an adult, it does often result in having a lifelong impact on your life. Adoptees have usually experienced trauma and rejection, which leads can take its toll emotionally.  Counselling and therapy for adoptees can  provide a space to  explore the impact that being adopted has had on your life, as well supporting you with matters such a navigating the emotional impact of getting in touch with birth family members.
